Bald Eagles with two young still in nest
This is a Bald Eagle nest near the corner of Prospect Road and Whitfield Ave. It is out in a pasture
and protected by the Federal Gov and the Florida Wildlife Commission. The pair have two youngsters
this year. They are now almost as large as their parents, but have not left the nest yet. They
require almost constant feeding by both parents. They young are less than 6 months old now
(Feb 2010) and will not get the white markings and yellow beaks of an adult until they are about 4 years old.
