To be more exact, about what I do.

The Red 4-Wheel Drive Truck on the first page is primarily used for nature scouting and photography.

A lots of times wildlife are in areas which are just not suited to passenger cars. It is still by far, the

best vehicle I have ever had.

I use a Sony DSC-H5 with a Red Dot spotting scope and a Canon EOS T1i and a couple different lenses.

My best wildlife lens is the Canon 70-300mm Image Stabilized USM lens. I also use a Canon 100-300mm

Sliding Zoom Autofocus lens, and occasionally the Canon 18-55mm IS Zoom.

When possible, I use a very heavy Oak Wooden tripod, with an Italian Manfrotto head. My favorite situation

is to shoot from a tripod in the bed of the truck. This keeps you up out of the weeds (fire ants/snakes) and

gives a stable platform.

I do volunteer work for the Florida Wildlife Commission in locating undocumented Bald Eagle nests.

That effort involves photographing a nesting pair on a new or heretofore unknown nest, recording the

GPS coordinates and reporting to the FWC. Subsequently a plane or helicopter is sent to verify the nest

and it is then added to the database.
